13th Annual Run 4 Brighter Days and Kids Fun Event

Coward, SC

Sponsorships For: The 2023 Run for Brighter Days

THANK YOU for your loyal support of The Jonathan Foundation.

Here are some of the past achievements from 2022.

We provided supportive services to children and teens in the Pee Dee Mental Health program, and provided MP3 players and 850 Back-to-School Backpacks.

The Duffels4Dignity program, which provides duffel bags for children in the foster care program in Pickens County, expanded to include Marion and Florence counties.

The Be That Friend Campaign, which invites the community to pledge support for a teen in need, reached over 50 schools across the nation.

As we go into 2023, we will continue our campaigns for #Project2025, a nation-wide effort led by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a campaign to reduce the rate of suicides by 20 percent by 2025.
     The Will George Project
     The Robert Duffee Project
     The Jonathan Smith Project

A board of experts at AFCP determined that collaborations amoung these four sectors will dramtically aid in achieving this goal:

Firearms. Suicide prevention education must become a basic component of firearms ownership.

Healthcare Systems. Large Healthcare Systems spanning both primary and behavioral care is a critical setting where coordinated suicide prevention strategies can have a dramatic impact on lives saved.

Emergency Departments. Emergency Departments present a key opportunity to identify and treat the individuals at the highest and most immediate risk for suicide.

Corrections Systems. Incarcerated people are particularly vulnerable to suicide, for a variety of complex reasons.

Last Year Florence, Marion and Mullins County each presented a Resolution to support Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and recognize The Jonathan Foundation for their efforts to raise awareness in youth suicide.

Our Annual Run4BrighterDays will be September 9th in recognition of National Suicide Awareness and Prevention month.

None of the services we provide would be possible without your support.  We THANK YOU for continuing in your partnership with us, to make a difference in the life of a teen
